Towards a more resilient Philippines: Moving forward

Philippines is under a dilemma right now. Down economy, lack of jobs for the people, no face to face schoolings and the most serious problem is the covid-19 pandemic.

We are all now experiencing the widespread of the uncontrollable virus. This is the main reason why our economy is down, schools are closed and people are getting sick. This is the time for us to know that health is wealth, money cannot save us from this dilemma. Following protocols is our best techniques to eliminate the virus. If you are affected by this virus, your money cannot save your life. Only yourself can heal your own sickness. Learn to share what you have right now, help other people especially the needy. Even if they are not our relative or friends, even we don’t live in the same house but we are all under the same sun and only one god. Always be prepared for what challenges we encounter. If you help other people, you will not be alone to face problems because the people that you help will carry you to escape any trouble that life may bring. That’s life, understanding the life of one another is just like lending your hand

Towards a more resilient Philippines we must be unified. We must recreate the spirit of bayanihan. Eliminate the crab mentality, support and respect the idea of any individual, to achieve a common goal. Goal that leads us to recover from difficult situations. And moving forward to a better and healthier community.

  1. Hello Gabriel! Your work is very emphatic and impactful, it is honestly refreshing to read and inspiring. I agree that our best option in eliminating the virus is to follow health protocols, after-all, as citizens of the Philippines this is our responsibility. I love how through this article you reminded us to unite and help another and most of all to eradicate crab mentality and revive the spirit of “bayanihan”. Above all, you mentioned that understanding the life of another is just like lending your hand, and this statement has made your article even more impactful than it is. Great work, keep it up!
